America, America

America, America
With her opened doors
A country so blessed
From its center to its shores.

A multitude of Americans
Some from near and far
All have different colors
But all have stripes and stars.

With its chips and bruises
With its cracks and mars
America still stands
Despite its battle scars.

America, America
On this precious day
We celebrate our freedoms
And are blessed in every way.

Happy Independence Day!

A Poem of Salvation

1I am a gorgeous shell
Beautiful from the start
Fearfully and wonderfully made”2
But host an evil heart.

Dirty, impure I am.
I made my life a jail
Locked behind thick bars
And sentenced to life in Hell.

But now I have my Savior
Jesus Christ is the One.
He came to save humanity
He's God's “only Son”3.

Jesus came to Earth
To save my fated soul;
Gave me a brand-new heart
He's far better than gold.

My shell is beautiful
And safe is my spirit,
But only because of Jesus.
He's the one I hold dearest.

The Parting of the "Veils"

Hello readers,

I wanted to share my testimony with all of you today. The following story is completely true. ry wThank you.

Signed,

Kayla

A new life. That was what I received that night. A friend of mine invited me to her grandmother’s church to listen to special guest speakers. At the end of the service, everyone in the room was asked if they were truly saved. I had such a mental struggle, that I could not handle it anymore. Everyday, I wanted to drop dead because I was tortured by the way others saw me in a past forgotten by everyone by myself. Enough was enough. I renewed my faith that evening, and my friend was saved as well.
On the way home, I saw something spectacular. I saw a group of stars organized into the shape of a cross. It may have been the Southern Cross, but I am not certain if it was. The luminescent image was between to perfectly parted clouds, the “veils” that separated me from Him. The cloudy skies of suicide, and overall sin, prevented me from seeing Jesus. No longer was I separated from the One who loves me.
I had hope that night. I am glad that I attended that service. This shows that God will not give up on me. After all, he did not leave me when I was hurt. He wanted me to be with Him forever, and the only way I could do that was through Jesus. Granted, the darkness of self-harm still lurks around me. It lurks around many people. However, I now know that I am not alone, and that Jesus’s Light shines forever.

A Woman Is a Flower

A woman is a flower.
She is beautiful.
She smells sweet.
She needs God to grow.

Before she blossoms,
Before she sprouts,
She must be cared for as a seed:
A dull-colored, tough-shelled seed waiting to burst.

She stands tall,
Even during a storm.
Her stem is resistant to the wind
And she benefits from the rain.

She is precious.
She will not expose her petals
At anyone’s command,
But only when she is ready.

All women are flowers.
They come in many colors and sizes.
They make others smile.
They are wonderful creations of the Lord.

Jesus Who Can Save

Delinquent
Drunk
We can’t behave.
Mind of the knave.

Dirty
Reject
Innocence up gave.
We are depraved.

Broken
Restless
Love we crave.
The devil’s slave.

Sinful,
Fearful,
And in danger of Hell’s grave,
But it is Jesus who can save.

Ancestors, soldiers, and leaders are always remembered
Melting pot
Emerald-colored trees, gorgeous rivers, and massive mountains
Red, white, and blue flag
Independent since 1776
Communities helping other communities
America is a wonderful country.
