Poetry…what is poetry?
Is it a group of lines and stanzas
That are aligned across paper
In a melodious fashion?
Does its message outshine its format;
Therefore is “free” from its “verse”?
From ballads to haikus, all forms of poetry have one main
goal:
To send a message.
These messages are transformed
From prose, then broken into lines and stanzas.
Odes, sonnets, and other “cultures”
Make up the world of poetry.
What makes a poem beautiful?
What makes a poem meaningful?
Poetry can evoke feelings and change thinking.
No single definition can define such writing.
