am a gorgeous shell
Beautiful
from the start
“Fearfully
and wonderfully made”2
But host
an evil heart.
Dirty,
impure I am.
I made
my life a jail
Locked
behind thick bars
And
sentenced to life in Hell.
But now
I have my Savior
Jesus
Christ is the One.
He came
to save humanity
He's
God's “only Son”3.
Jesus
came to Earth
To save
my fated soul;
Gave me
a brand-new heart
He's far better than gold.
My shell
is beautiful
And safe
is my spirit,
But only
because of Jesus.
He's the
one I hold dearest.
