Dreaming Under the Lone Spotlight

It is dark and empty inside of a grand theater in New York City. The only thing that brightens the room is a lone spotlight in the center of the stage. A technician of the theater, a woman, walks across the stage and stops under the spotlight. Her head turns around the vast room, with its Heaven-like decorations, carved balconies, and velvet chairs. She closes her eyes and finds the most surprising thing.
The empty theater is now flooded with people! The sound of orchestra is tuning their instruments and the visitors filled the room with life. In a matter of seconds, all noises seized. The technician looked down to her feet to find that her regular uniform magically changed into a gorgeous, white leotard with a billowing tutu, tights, and silky dancing shoes. She touches the top of her head and discovers her hair is in a bun. She is practically an angel.
The music begins. A single violin sang an almost mournful tune. The technician slowly moves along to the violin, as if she knew this song by heart. Other sting instruments join along with the violin. The technician dances to the music with ease. She twirls across the stage and leaps into the air, landing as gently as a feather. She makes each move with perfection.
The music slowly dies. The entire theater is so quiet, the sound of a pin drop could have echoed. The room bursts with great cheer for the dancer. People are standing and clapping in admiration. The dancer gives a very humble bow. Once her head lifts again, she sees that the entire room was completely empty. The grand theater is still a dark place, except for the lone spotlight that still shines on the technician.

Salvation

Dear Reader,

Are you lonesome or depressed? Are you afraid to live your life? Do you feel guilty about something you did wrong and wish to start your life over? There is a God, a true and only God, who loves you very much. He created you and everything and everyone in the universe. He will always love you, even if you do something wrong.
You see, sin ( Anything that is against God’s will such as disrespect, stealing, dishonesty, murder, worshiping other gods or goddesses, jealousy, ect) separates you from God. Everyone is a sinner. There is a way for you to be forgiven of your sins. God has a Son named Jesus. He sent His Son from Heaven to Earth to teach people about God and to die for your sins. Jesus sacrificed  Himself so that we can go to Heaven when we die on Earth.  Jesus is still alive. He rose from His grave three days after He died and ascended  into Heaven with His body. You can go to Heaven, too. Just pray ( talk to Him):
    Dear Jesus,
Please forgive me of all of my sins. I believe that You are the Son of God and that You rose from the dead. I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Please come into my heart and life.
In Your name I pray,
Amen.
If you prayed that prayer, and meant it, God will send the Holy Spirit in you ( God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is like an apple. He is all one God. There is the peel, the fruit, and the core. It all makes up one apple) and you can inherit the kingdom of God.  You can grow in you faith. There is this book called the Bible. The Bible is like God’s love letter to mankind. It has many miraculous stories and it teaches us how to live our lives the right way, His way. Everything in the Bible is true.  You can find a Bible at a Christian supply store such as Mardel’s or Lifeway Christian bookstore.

Rules on Totally My Tales

Dear Readers,
Welcome to Totally My Tales. To the right of the screen, I added a new set of guidelines specifically for this blog. After hearing so many negative things in the news about what some people do online, I felt like that these rules are necessary.
When I established these rules, I was not talking about anyone in particular. In fact, I am very proud of all of my readers for being so mature and respectful. Give yourself a good pat on the back :). Thank you for being good readers and for being so well-behaved.

Signed,
Kayla

In the Midst of Destruction

The following entry is based after the destructive, volcanic eruption in Pompeii. The volcano in the area, Mt. Vesuvius, buried the city in ash. This story is being told by the main character, Candria.

Boom! The loud explosion came from Mt. Vesuvius. Ash seeps out of the mighty volcano in large, billowing smoke clouds the color of river stones. Lava begins to ooze from the structure, in large amounts and in little time.
“Candria!” mother hollers. “We have to move, NOW!”
Father is already outside our villa waiting for us. Quick as lightning, mother and I hurry to him. This is the fastest time it has ever taken me to obey mother's commands. The three of us leave our gorgeous villa full of priceless possessions and memories to be engulfed by the destructive fluid.
We run as fast as we can. Ash clouds devour the clear, blue sky. My friends, neighbors, and total strangers run for their lives as well. Screams fill my ears. Tears stream down my eyes, sweat drips down my head, and my heart beats in fear and for all of Pompeii. I dare not to look back at what that dreadful lava is doing. I trip over a large rock, landing with a thud. My head turns to the right, moving until my whole body turns. The lava is closer than I assumed. Dwellings that were practically palaces burned and collapsed. The lava looks like blood flowing down the hills. Glorious statues, gardens, and villas are being attacked by lava and fireballs are shooting out of Vesuvius like arrows. Never have I seen Heaven and Hell so close together.
Mother screams. “Candria! Get up, young lady. We have to leave town this instant.”
I get up from my position and ran with my parents. It is as hot as a kiln! We run, and run, and run, but the lava will not keep away from us. There is a large building in front of us. A dead end, in the most literal way. Father sobs bitterly and mother falls upon his strong shoulder. We wrap our arms around each other. The lava is charging like us like an army. My skin is cooking. The lava is getting too close and…

Our Contest Winner: Random Thinker 1!!!!

Congradulations, Random Thinker 1. You won Totally My Tales poetry contest. Here is Random Thinker 1's entry. Enjoy everyone. :)

What makes up a home?
H- Happiness. Things don't always have to be perfect. But when your trials are shared with those you love, and you can lean on them, that is called happiness, hope, home.
O- Others. Home is not simply a place where others take care of you. It is where you love others. Obnoxious siblings the most :D
M- Magical. Isn't it a mystery how no family is exactly the same? Each individual member of a family adds to the magically uniqueness that is your home. One might say it's Marvelous.
E- But most importantly it's: energetic, enough, enjoyable, enchanting, has eccentricities, enthralling, engaging, exceptional, encouraging, excellent, enduring.

HOME is not a place but the PEOPLE who make it up. Home is the family who welcomes you and all your eccentricities. Family is the home that loves you with enthusiasm, without exception... they love you with all their hearts and ask for nothing in return. Home is where your heart is.
